We live in a culture that is teaching blanket-statement tolerance — as long as you love and embrace it, so will we. Anything goes. While having tolerance for some things is a considered a virtue, tolerance for others is simply foolishness. Our culture worships pop stars who sing about being "born this way" and overweight models who are embracing their unhealthy lifestyles. But if anyone speaks out against such things, they're ostracized for being intolerant of another person.

The Importance of Having a Destination (even if it's not perfect)

I'm sitting on my couch desperately trying to put words on a page and my sister is sitting to my left reading Prayer and the Art of Volkswagen by Donald Miller. Two pages in and she already has an opinion of the book, "I don't really like the fact that he's just taking a trip that isn't going anywhere." As much fun as that might be at first glance, the more I thought about it, the more I began to agree.
